INTERPOL Defence

Red Notices, Diffusions and cross-border risk

INTERPOL Proceedings

RATH HAGEN Attorneys at Law advises and represents individuals affected by INTERPOL alerts, Red Notices, diffusion notices, or foreign search warrants. Our practice group, led by attorney Dr. Julius Hagen, assists clients with applications to the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files, with the preparation of requests for deletion, and with the assessment of international travel and arrest risks.

We examine whether a search is compatible with INTERPOL’s rules, the principle of neutrality, minimum human rights standards, and the requirements of a fair trial. We place particular emphasis on politically motivated proceedings, conflicts framed as white-collar crime, Diffusions, Red Notices, and cases in which international search measures are used to exert pressure.

Our Expertise

Red Notice Removal
We represent clients in applications to delete Red Notices from INTERPOL’s files where the notice is politically motivated, procedurally defective or incompatible with human rights standards.
INTERPOL Diffusion Defence
We advise and represent clients affected by INTERPOL Diffusions, including urgent risk assessments, CCF requests and defence against informal cross-border alerts.
CCF Request before INTERPOL
We prepare and submit requests before the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files to obtain access, correction, restriction or deletion of data held by INTERPOL.
Travel with a Red Notice or Diffusion
We advise clients before international travel where an INTERPOL notice, diffusion or foreign arrest warrant may create a risk of detention, questioning or border intervention.
Politically Motivated INTERPOL Notices & Diffusions
We defend clients against INTERPOL measures that appear to be driven by political persecution, state pressure, business conflicts or abuse of criminal proceedings.
Human Rights and Due Process
We challenge INTERPOL measures where criminal proceedings abroad raise serious concerns about fair trial rights, detention conditions, discrimination or other human rights violations.
Am I Wanted by INTERPOL?
We help clients assess whether they may be subject to a Red Notice, Diffusion or other INTERPOL-related alert and advise on the legal steps available to clarify and reduce the risk.
